Construction Site Vehicles and Construction Machinery

Herpa Construction Site Collection

Whether you encounter roadworks in the middle of summer or on your journey home for the Christmas holidays, road construction can put your patience to the test. Throughout the year, roads are closed, dug up, resurfaced, or used for transporting construction debris – often resulting in traffic jams and frustration.

In the miniature world of Herpa, however, construction sites become fascinating scenes full of detail, technology, and variety. Digging, milling, compacting, and rolling – Herpa construction vehicles and machinery bring the full range of modern construction activities to your diorama, model railway layout, or display case, without any of the frustration of real roadworks.

From mobile excavators, rollers, and graders to dump trucks, concrete mixers, and specialized vehicles, the range includes a wide selection of models for a variety of construction applications. Each 1:87 (H0) scale model combines a high level of detail with functional moving parts and authentic printing. Based on real vehicles used in road construction and civil engineering, Herpa models bring realistic construction scenes to life in miniature.

Model Building and Dioramas in H0 (1/87) Scale

Whether it’s road construction in an urban area, the expansion of a rural road, or earthworks on a large-scale construction site: Herpa construction machinery and construction vehicles allow you to recreate realistic construction scenes in miniature.
For collectors and model builders in particular, the world of construction offers countless possibilities for combining different vehicles and machines to create authentic working scenarios.

The H0 or 1/87 scale has been one of the most popular scales in model building for decades. Herpa construction models can be combined perfectly with buildings, figures, and landscape elements, making them an ideal addition to existing H0 model railway layouts. Whether depicting earthmoving, road construction, or material transport, Herpa construction machinery and vehicles in 1/87 scale make it possible to create detailed and realistic scenes. With just a few models, you can quickly turn a collection of individual vehicles into a lively construction-site diorama with a high level of realism and recognition.

One of many highlights: The Liebherr A920 excavator

The Liebherr A920 excavator stands for the standard construction machine for many companies and, with an operating weight of up to 21.900 kg and 175 hp, is used on both large and small construction sites in the region.

The eagerly awaited miniature version from Herpa was released in 2022 with the product number 314442 in the Liebherr factory colours on a scale of 1/87.
Herpa has designed the model with many movable functions of the upper carriage and the boom, and has also implemented the element for moving earth in a lowerable position at the rear.

Almost three years after the first delivery of the Liebherr A920 wheeled excavator, two additional attachments are now available under product number 319997. In addition to the familiar bucket, the excavator comes with a wider trench bucket and a sorting grab.
A real highlight for any construction machinery fan!
