U.S. Air Force Rockwell B-1B Lancer - 37th Bomb Sqn, Ellsworth AB "Alien with an Attitude" - 86-0108
Strategic bombers are regularly transferred from the continental U.S. to foreign countries in order to show presence and to practice interoperability with air forces of allied countries. One such forward operations base is located on the Pacific island of Guam, where the U.S. Air Force maintains a strategically important base. In 2024, four B-1 Lancers of the 37th Squadron arrived from Ellsworth in South Dakota, including the original of this new 1/200 scale release, on which, as popular with bomber crews, a nose art was also painted. In this case, it is probably no coincidence that the pictured and seemingly bad-tempered alien is reminiscent of Marvin the Martian from the popular Looney Tunes cartoons. As on all B-1 model releases, the main wings can be swiveled. In addition, the crew access hatch with extended stairs is included.
