At the time, it succeeded the T6 and T6.1 Bus as well as the Sharan, positioning itself as an in-between size – built on the Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) platform. Following the initial version in Candy White/Starlight Blue, the Multivan is now also available in the color combination Deep Black/Fontana Red.
