Lufthansa Lockheed L-1649A Super Star – D-ALAN
In the 1950s, the Lockheed L-1649 was considered the epitome of innovation and elegance. Starting in 1957, the "Super Star" was primarily used on the Hamburg - New York route, flying nonstop in about 17 hours. In Hamburg, D-ALAN underwent extensive restoration and was finally repainted in her original livery at Münster/Osnabrück Airport. In time for the 100th anniversary, she is serving as the main attraction of the Lufthansa Group’s new conference and visitor center in Frankfurt alongside the legendary Junkers Ju 52.
