Lufthansa Airbus A350-1000 "100 years" - D-AIFA "Deutschland"

On July 14, 2026, the first A350-1000 to be delivered to Lufthansa left the Airbus paint shop in Toulouse sporting the blue anniversary livery featuring the airline’s white crane in XXL. Following additional test flights and further interior outfitting, this first A350-1000 is expected to be transferred to Munich in the fall. The delivery of D-AIFA calls for a big celebration: The aircraft, christened "Deutschland," is not only the first example of the longest variant of the A350 family—stretched to 73.8 meters—that Lufthansa will receive, and not only does it feature the 100th-anniversary design, but it will also be the 700th aircraft that Airbus has delivered to the Lufthansa Group. The new A350-1000 is the seventh aircraft in the Lufthansa fleet to feature a special livery commemorating the airline’s 100th anniversary. Already in service—as well as in the Herpa product line—are an Airbus A350-900, an Airbus A380, a Boeing 787-9, and a Boeing 747-8, as well as two short- and medium-range Airbus A320neo aircraft featuring this special design. The entire anniversary fleet is available as a 1/500 scale diecast metal model, as a model in our SnapFit series, and as a highly detailed 1/200 scale collector’s model.
