Poland’s LOT has developed close ties with Brazilian manufacturer Embraer over the past two decades. The partnership started back in the year 2004, in which LOT took delivery of the world’s first E170 regional jet. Since then, the Polish airline has grown to be the largest European operator of Embraer’s successful first E-Jet family with no less than 44 aircraft on strength. From 2011 on, LOT received a total of sixteen E195 aircraft, the largest E-Jet variant. SP-LNQ is the latest addition to the sub-fleet of E195s, having entered service for LOT in August 2024. Built in 2015, it was originally delivered to Brazil’s Azul, before now serving on routes throughout Europe.
