LOT operated a fleet of 12 Q400 turboprops from 2015 to 2023. They were purchased to replace the slowly aging ATR-72s which had been operated since back in 1991 after the end of the Cold War resulted in a boost in regional and Trans-European travel that had been impossible the decades before. Following a release in the smaller 1/500 scale, the Q400 is now also released as a die-cast metal model in the larger and more detailed 1/200 scale.
