With currently 45 A220-100s and 25 A220-300s with their stretched fuselage on strength, Delta Air Lines is already the largest operator of Airbus’s state-of-the-art narrow-body airliner with its spacious cabin, larger windows and increased fuel efficiency. By 2028, no less than 75 additional A220-300s are scheduled to enter the fleet. The A220 is currently used almost entirely on domestic routes within the United States.
