Cargolux Boeing 747-8F – LX-VCN "Spirit of Schengen"
With no fewer than 26 Boeing 747s, Luxembourg-based Cargolux relies entirely on the unmatched transport capabilities of the jumbo jet. In addition to 12 747-400s, the fleet also includes 14 of the most modern and final 747 variant, the 747-8, capable of carrying up to 140 tons of cargo over more than 8,000 kilometers. LX-VCN, named after the wine-growing town of Schengen in the Luxembourg-Germany-France border triangle, is the newest addition to the 747-8 sub-fleet and entered service about ten years ago, in September 2016.
