In 2026, Lufthansa will celebrate a significant anniversary: 100 years since the founding of the first Lufthansa back in 1926. To mark this special occasion, the airline with its unmistakable crane logo will take off with a unique "anniversary fleet": Lufthansa's most important sub-fleets will receive their own special livery in the iconic centenary look: The blue fuselage will be adorned with a white crane whose wings merge into the aircraft wings. The anniversary fleet will be led by the brand-new Boeing 787-9 "Berlin" with the registration D-ABPU, which we have already announced in a total of three versions in the 1/500 and 1/200 scales. Next up is an Airbus A350-900, which is also already in development as a die-cast metal model in 1/500, as a high-quality collector's model in 1/200, and as part of the Herpa SnapFit range, also in the 1/200 scale.
