In 2013 this specially equipped Boeing 747-8 replaced an older 400 series jumbo jet. 9K-GAA is used, in addition to two Airbus A340-500, by the Emir of Kuwait and his family, as well as high-ranking state officials. Kuwait is one of several countries that use the “Queen of the Skies” for their heads of state, such as Turkey, South Korea, Morocco, Qatar or Egypt – and now also joins a series of governmental aircraft released by Herpa in the 1/500 scale.
