Whether it's the holiday season in midsummer or driving home for christmas: if you want to spend your well-deserved break on the beach or with your loved ones and encounter roadworks, you need strong nerves and a lot of patience. Throughout the year, roads are closed, dug up, resurfaced or debris is transported. This often causes traffic jams and a lot of annoyance.
In Herpa's miniature world, however, roadworks become fascinating scenes full of detail, technology and variety.
Shovelling, milling, compacting, rolling – Herpa's construction vehicles and machinery bring the whole spectrum of modern construction activities directly to your diorama, model railway layout or display case – without any of the frustration of real construction sites.
Whether it's a Wirtgen asphalt milling machine, a Hamm roller or a robust MAN tipper truck – every 1/87 (H0) scale model impresses with its high precision, movable parts and true-to-life printing. Herpa construction machinery and vehicles are based on real-life models from road construction and civil engineering.
One of many highlights: The Liebherr A920 excavator
The Liebherr A920 excavator stands for the standard construction machine for many companies and, with an operating weight of up to 21.900 kg and 175 hp, is used on both large and small construction sites in the region.
The eagerly awaited miniature version from Herpa was released in 2022 with the product number 314442 in the Liebherr factory colours on a scale of 1/87.
Herpa has designed the model with many movable functions of the upper carriage and the boom, and has also implemented the element for moving earth in a lowerable position at the rear.
Almost three years after the first delivery of the Liebherr A920 wheeled excavator, two additional attachments are now available under product number 319997. In addition to the familiar bucket, the excavator comes with a wider trench bucket and a sorting grab.
