As part of the Daimler / VW joint project, the classic transporting work-horse received a make-over and a new name in 2006. Sprinter and Crafter were simultaneously developed at Herpa in the 1/87 scale.

Individual production: Catwalk

The almost 11 million Euro luxury yacht “Catwalk” was the biggest yacht ever displayed at a fair. At the beginning of 2006, it was premiered at the “Boot” fair in Düsseldorf. Fulfilling an exclusive order from the “Schenker” logistics company, we rendered the yacht as a unique 1/87 scale model.

“The Lord of the Rings” by British author John Ronald Reuel Tolkien is considered a classic in fantasy literature. Between 2001 and 2003, the novel was made into a 3-part movie in New Zealand. To mark this cinematic milestone, the national carrier “Air New Zealand” had its airplanes repainted in “Lord of the Rings” designs. In the small scale, Herpa was the only company granted a license to produce the models.
